All the geese were sold for 2023 and we even had a waiting list. Book early for 2024.
Congratulations to Andy, one of our Monday volunteers, who recently completed Level 2 ATV course at Newton Rigg College. He came back full of confidence having passed the course and we're already making use of his new skills here on the farm!
The qualification was funded by The Edge - a partnership made up of Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund. It's made a real difference to him and means that our staff are skilled and qualified.
We are delighted that Susan has been awarded the Special Award for Care in the Farming Community from the NFA2019 presented by Denys Fell (Northern Farmer of Year 2018).
We are thankful to all our staff, volunteers and supporters who enable us to undertake the work we do; supporting people whilst running an organic, livestock farm.
Denys Fell (NFY2018) presents the award to Susan Aglionby and Julia Aglionby
We've discovered a tawny owl on the farm. It's wonderful to see it perch in the tree.
Lots of our visitors have enjoyed seeing the owl. We are enjoying the diversity of wildlife here on the farm.
With thanks to students from the University of Cumbria for their fantastic photos!
