Thanks to a generous donation from the Delamere Dairy Foundation and the Country Land Association we have now completed creation of a workshop and raised beds.
The large, accessible workshop will enable people to use tools in a safe environment and allow the farm to deliver our projects using our own beneficiaries and volunteers. Many thanks to the Delamere Dairy Foundation and the Country Land Association for supporting our work.
The raised beds are now ready to be planted, watch this space as the growing season gets underway!
We were very fortunate to receive a LEADER grant to turn our education building into a permanent, independent building. This severs the building from the main house and attaches all amenities to the mains. At the same time there was some internal restructuring to the building, adding a kitchen and office space
See below for information on the transformation.
The building works have finished and we're delighted with the result. We've loved using it so far.
The cladding has gone on and the building looks wonderful, even in the snow at the beginning of February. Just a few more weeks and then it's completed.
Roof and cladding going on. Looks very different and we're excited for when it is finished
The builders have been hard at work. New walls going in to divide the new kitchen and office.
They'll put another wall in to separate the kitchen and Tyler Room.
Not just the outside that is being done. Some of the internal walls have gone down.
It's Friday 10th November and after 5 days work loads has been done.
Ditches dug and pipes have been laid, enabling the building to be independent. Waste pipes moved and walls removed to allow for the internal restructuring.
This is the building just before work began on Monday 6th November 2017. Good weather for the builders to begin their work
